NWIPR Empowers PR Professionals with Innovative Virtual Training

Lagos, Nigeria – Nigerian Women in PR, a social impact professional organisation set up to advocate and provide resources to PR professionals in Nigeria and globally, has successfully hosted its first virtual training of the year for its registered members. This reaffirms its commitment to advancing the professional development of practitioners in the PR industry.

The virtual training, with the topic “Strategy for Social: Innovative Ideas to Attract Opportunities,” took place on January 25, 2024, and featured seasoned PR experts who shared invaluable insights and strategies for navigating the ever-evolving social media landscape.

Speaking at the training, Oyindamola Bolaji-Olanisimi, Lead Consultant at Resolve and Resolute Limited, shared actionable strategies and highlighted the importance of visibility on social media. She emphasised efficiency, consistency, and sustainability as pillars for creating meaningful impact online.

Rosemary Otalor, also a speaker, underscored the significance of self-awareness and purpose in shaping a powerful personal brand. She encouraged professionals to prioritize community building and networking, which are crucial for leveraging opportunities on social media. Amid the noise of the digital space, she advised maintaining brand consistency while incorporating relevant trends.

The training provided attendees with a comprehensive understanding of the social media landscape in Nigeria and ways to harness its opportunities. Topics covered included crafting impactful strategies, developing engaging content, attracting opportunities online, personal branding, adapting content strategies, optimizing performance, and leveraging emerging trends for 2025.

“I’ve always found it difficult to understand some intricacies of public relations because I initially attended a non-conventional institution where there isn’t the teacher-student classroom setting. I love the way concepts are broken down and treated in the NWiPR training sessions”,  said one of the participants who joined in.

NWiPR remains committed to supporting the continuous relevance of Nigerian women practising Public Relations & communications as the profession evolves. To watch the recap of the training session, click here
