Established in 2019 to support, inspire and empower Nigerian Women in the PR and Comms industry while improving access to career-advancing opportunities, Nigerian Women in Public Relations (NGWiPR) has built a robust network of practicing and aspiring female public relations professionals of Nigerian descent.
However, as the PR profession evolves, we realise that more than support and inspiration – we need to focus on the growth and continued relevance of Nigerian women in the industry. To communicate this strategic redirection that will enable us to engage strategic partners and focus on the results women have achieved in the industry, our objectives have been updated to reflect these changes.
The four objectives of Nigerian Women in PR are:
1. To be a resource hub for learning and professional growth
2. To support the continuous relevance of Nigerian Women practicing PR as the profession evolves.
3. To platform the results of Nigerian Women in PR
4. To promote the understanding and value of the public relations profession.
Our objectives remain in alignment with Sustainable Development Goal 4: to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all; and Sustainable Development Goal 8: to promote sustained, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment, and decent work for all.
